Join the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) as an entry‑level Federal Government Auditor located exclusively in Bath, ME. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, perform, and report contract audit assignments related to procurement and contracting activities between the Federal Government and contractors.
- Prepare working papers and analyze contractor data using automation tools.
- Conduct audit steps including tests and examinations of contractor’s direct labor and material costs.
- Verify reports, records, ledgers, and other documents against source documents such as invoices, receipts, and payroll slips.
- Maintain audit working papers, including preparation of schedules, summaries, and reconciliations as required.
- Collaborate with team members, provide regular status updates, share information, and recommend revisions to improve audit programs and team goals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or a related field such as Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Public Administration. The related degree must include 24 semester hours of accounting (may include up to 6 hours in business law).
- Minimum GPA of 2.95 or above.
- No certifications or CPA license required.
