Job Description

Position Overview

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, is dedicated to helping people live more fully at every stage of life. We are seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) responsible for supporting TAVI clinical trial and commercial activities. In this role, you will work alongside the Territory Manager and Regional Sales Director to educate interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and operating room staff on the safe and effective use of Abbott TAVI products. You will help drive clinical excellence and improve patient outcomes while playing an integral role in both trial enrollment and commercial case support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete internal training (hemodynamics, ECG, angiography, echo & CT imaging) and obtain proper authorizations.
  • Provide active clinical trial and commercial case support, including sterile scrub in, TAVI valve loading, and CT valve sizing analysis.
  • Lead customer education sessions, pre-case planning, and debriefing to ensure robust in-service levels.
  • Coordinate trial site engagement, participate in subject selection committee calls, and provide quality assurance documentation.
  • Co-develop commercial business plans, support quarterly business reviews, and maintain accurate data entry in Salesforce and Mentor software.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or equivalent clinical degree (e.g., Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Certified Cardiology Technician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Surgical/Scrub Technician, Physician Assistant).
  • 9+ years of clinical work experience in a hospital or medical device setting, including 5+ years in Structural Heart or related TAVI support (or experience supporting 300+ TAVI cases).
  • Ability to satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements (including COVID-19 vaccination) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in life sciences.
  • Prior experience specifically in TAVI or transcatheter Structural Heart interventions.
