Job Description

Position Overview

As a Land Intern at Chevron, you will gain valuable real-life work experience within an exploration or asset team,
working on significant projects that impact the business. This internship provides exposure to the upstream oil
and gas industry, allowing you to learn about Chevron's processes, culture, and the role of land professionals in
exploration and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with external partners and landowners and draft various agreements related to oil and gas exploration and production.
  • Perform title work on exploratory, development, workover, and plug and abandonment wells.
  • Provide Land support to multidisciplinary teams to assist in making informed, strategic business decisions on agreements and land ownership issues.
  • Interact with federal and state agencies on oil and gas regulatory issues.
  • Manage surface land issues such as access, water, and fencing.

Required Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Desire to learn and provide/accept feedback.
  • Negotiation ability to establish effective relationships with third parties.
  • Planning and organizing skills to ensure efficient work completion.
  • Teamwork skills to operate in a team environment and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Contract interpretation, drafting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred degrees include B.A., B.S., BBA, MS, MBA, and JD.
