Job Description
Position Overview
Infosoft, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer (PE License) responsible for maintaining reliable electrical service throughout a Resort. The role involves providing system electrical design, field engineering, and maintenance support for various electrical distribution systems while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support diverse lines of business (operations, maintenance, entertainment, merchandise, broadcast services, etc.) through electrical code interpretation and engineering/design solutions.
- Respond to outages and facility-related electrical emergencies.
- Assist maintenance electricians with technical support and troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide field and documentation support for both new and renovation projects.
- Coordinate assessments and inspections to evaluate conditions, operations, maintenance requirements, planning, and design compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain accurate system drawings prepared by in-house and outside designers.
- Ensure electrical projects conform to building codes (NEC, NESC, Title 24, CBC, NFPA, OSHA, DOSH 6.2, and insurance underwriter requirements) and Resort Standards.
- Collaborate with Resort partners and external consultants/contractors to maintain one-line diagrams, conduct power system studies, and develop energy management solutions.
- Provide engineering support for chiller, boiler, and compressed air plants.
- Review planned electrical outages for operational and safety concerns.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BA/BS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on electrical power systems design and operation.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) in the State of California.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in engineering design and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in email communication, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
- Sound knowledge of NEC, NESC, Title 24, OSHA, and similar standards.
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal, team-building, and problem-solving skills with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with craft labor and contractors for system repairs and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- MA/MS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power systems design and operation.
- Experience incorporating electrical distribution system configuration and data into Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS).
- Experience using electrical engineering and design tools such as SKM Power Tools and Energy Pro.
- Familiarity with campus environment electrical distribution systems including chiller plants, boiler plants, compressed air production, pumps, power management systems, circuit breakers, transformers, motors, and meters.
- Knowledge of SKM software and performing power systems analysis.
