Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Paid Social Marketing Manager to join the VR Studios marketing team to drive outbound marketing strategy and optimize marketing performance across paid social channels. This person will focus on marketing executions for virtual reality games and experiences and collaborate closely with ad tech, decision science, comms planning, product marketing, research, ecommerce, and creative teams. Specifically, this person will drive strategy and execution for Reality Labs’ newest VR organization focused on owned studios (e.g.: Beat Games, Ready at Dawn, Population One) and first party experiences (e.g.: Horizon Worlds). This person has experience with full funnel paid social planning and execution, is data driven, biased towards action and thrives in a fast-paced unstructured environment. They will also have strong cross channel and/or integrated marketing experience and excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business outcomes tied to the virtual reality ecosystem like generating new users and engaging existing users.
- Develop and drive optimization programs to increase performance across the full marketing funnel including awareness and conversions.
- Partner with Ad Tech team to evolve tracking and targeting infrastructure for campaign execution and measurement purposes.
- Drive experimentation across key optimization levers e.g. creative, promotion, bid strategy, landing page, and channel.
- Brainstorm and identify new optimization and growth opportunities across paid social channels by leveraging campaign data and analysis.
- Use tools like Excel, Tableau, and dashboards to analyze data, move fast, and work efficiently at scale.
- Collaborate with decision science on lift measurement, attribution model, media mix model requirements and enhancements.
- Identify budget optimization strategies using attribution data and media mix models developed by Decision Science, and work with the media planning team and agency partners to incorporate a holistic media strategy.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams—including product marketing, decision science, comms planning, social and influencer, media agency, e-commerce, retail, research & analytics, and creative—to influence and align on optimization efforts.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree.
- 6+ years experience in paid social marketing.
- Experience building and evolving Ad Tech solutions in partnership with technical teams (e.g., data layer implementation, multi-platform event tagging, 1st party audience building).
- Experience in experimentation, A/B testing, analyzing data sets, and interpreting them to make business decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience defining and managing projects amid ambiguity.
- Experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial, unstructured environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the virtual reality, augmented reality, consumer hardware, ecommerce, or gaming space.
- Multi-channel marketing experience.
