UI/UX Developer

Position Overview

Elexity is enabling the transition to a green energy future by disrupting the building controls industry with intelligent energy control software that transforms commercial buildings into grid responsive assets. As an early stage, venture-funded company poised for explosive growth, you’ll join a small, highly impactful team based in Portland, Oregon, with team members working remotely across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold a leadership role in UX, UI, and Software development.
• Own the process of gathering and evaluating internal and external customer requirements in collaboration with the executive team and engineers.
• Partner with the CTO and executive team to convert customer requirements into a comprehensive UX/UI strategy that scales with the business.
• Create and refine design ideas—including graphic user interface elements, workflows, storyboards, process flows, and mockups—in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Implement refined design ideas into production code alongside the server team.

Required Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of UI development experience
• 3 - 5 years of UX design experience
• 3 - 5 years of JavaScript experience
• Excellent HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
• Excellent React skills
• Familiarity with graphing libraries such as Highcharts
• Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Proven technical leadership abilities
