Position Overview

In this role you will lead the communications team and work closely with executive leadership to drive strategic messaging for the Solar MAP across employee, executive, investor, and product communications in both solar and semiconductor markets. Salary: $175,348.00 - $241,104.00 (assuming full time status).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual planning process to develop and implement the marketing communications strategy, messaging, and program of activities including public relations, media relations, tradeshows, and customer outreach.
- Develop and coordinate product communications activities with business managers (semi, poly, wafer, module), including communications plans, technical and commercial collateral, press releases, presentations, media activities, live demonstrations, and social media content.
- Lead promotion activities for new product launches, including naming, media interviews, launch events, article placement, influencer interviews, and branding campaigns.
- Develop and implement proactive public relations, media relations, and community engagement plans across business locations, establishing and nurturing media contacts.
- Execute integrated messaging for the new Solar MAP across employee townhalls and communications meetings in various locations (MI, AZ) and across product lines.
- Lead the quarterly earnings communications process in collaboration with finance and Corporate IR teams.
- Develop executive communications for internal and external stakeholders including CMG, Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team meetings, and other events.
- Develop and maintain a crisis management and response plan.
- Coordinate with Solar business managers and Corporate Communications to create an integrated communications strategy ensuring strong alignment of messaging and positioning.
- Lead tradeshow activities encompassing project management, speaking engagements, customer engagement, and media events.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications teams to develop messaging documents, Q&A, standby statements, and other related materials.
- Own and manage digital marketing platforms, developing content and strategies in support of business objectives.
- Monitor and respond to industry issues impacting Solar, ensuring that the organization’s leadership is effectively communicated to media, customers, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and write news releases and feature articles in support of PR and media efforts.
- Supervise and develop a team of communications professionals with an emphasis on talent building and leadership development.
- Develop communication plans for internal messaging and employee activities in support of initiatives led by Business Managers, MAP Human Resources, and the Solar MAP GM.
- Create a communications calendar and engagement plan to unify approximately 4,000 employees across MI, AZ, and remote locations.
- Develop internal webpages and employee communications that reflect the expansion of a $1B business into a $2.5B market access platform.
- Bring the Solar GM’s vision and growth goals to life through inspirational communication tools including digital, print, and video media.
- Lead Investor Day activities for the Solar business and collaborate with Corporate IR on key messaging, speech writing, product demos, and event logistics.
- Coordinate with the marketing communications team to develop an external engagement cadence for the Solar GM to interact with local community leaders, government officials, and attend local events.
- Develop plans for external speaking engagements and content creation to support marcomm objectives, establishing Corning as a preeminent c-Si manufacturer in the US.
