We are a fast-growing commercial plumbing contractor seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse management and inventory strategies. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring that our field operations receive the necessary materials, fixtures, and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in plumbing warehouse management!

The ideal individual will possess

hands-on experience in a commercial plumbing context, with exceptional organizational skills, knowledge of plumbing components, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, issuing, and tracking plumbing materials and fixtures.
  • Create procurement orders for plumbing supplies based on project requirements and inventory assessments.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate timely deliveries and pickups of materials to job sites and field teams.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment are stored, labeled, and organized properly.
  • Safely operate a forklift for efficient material handling within the warehouse and yard.
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and suppliers to guarantee material availability for ongoing projects.
  • Monitor material usage to minimize waste and shortages.
  • Implement and uphold warehouse safety protocols while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Manage the process for returns, warranties, and damaged materials accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Lead in a commercial plumbing or construction environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial plumbing components, materials, and fixtures.
  • Experience in ordering supplies and liaising with plumbing suppliers and vendors.
  • Forklift experience is required (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy work environment.
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and procurement activities.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in both warehouse and outdoor yard settings.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended durations.
