Position Overview
IHG Luxury + Lifestyle Managed Hotels is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Sales to drive revenue growth, optimize marketing initiatives, and provide interim leadership during transitions. Reporting to the Director, Sales Tiered Services, you will lead sales and marketing strategies for the luxury consortia segment and work closely with participating hotels to achieve revenue and market share goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership during vacancies, transitions, or new openings.
- Conduct operational assessments and implement performance improvement plans.
- Train and mentor sales and marketing teams ensuring continuity and excellence.
- Deliver regular performance updates to regional and corporate leadership with clear KPIs.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead all sales efforts across group, negotiated, luxury sales, and catering segments; utilize systems like Merlin, Concerto, Amadeus, and Salesforce; analyze STR reports and market trends; build relationships with key accounts; and oversee RFP responses and contract negotiations.
- Marketing & Brand Compliance: Execute property-level marketing plans aligned with IHG brand standards; collaborate with digital marketing and loyalty teams; manage local promotions and community engagement; and ensure brand consistency across all guest touchpoints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive hotel sales and marketing experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of revenue management, distribution, and loyalty strategies.
- Ability to travel frequently and adapt to various property cultures and markets.
- Proven selling and negotiation skills with multi-property experience.
- Excellent organization, project management, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in IHG tools including Merlin, Concerto, Amadeus Agency + Demand 360, Delphi, Salesforce, Meeting Broker, PowerPoint, Opera, and Brand.com platforms.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight timelines.
