Position Overview

At Zillow Home Loans, we’re revolutionizing the home financing experience. As a Mortgage Loan Officer based in Florida (FL), you will originate mortgage loans, guide borrowers through the entire process, and hit production targets by engaging with customers and agents. You will manage incoming leads from various sources and build strong relationships in a dynamic, high‐energy FinTech environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Originate mortgage loans and guide borrowers through the process, ensuring compliance and providing documentation for underwriting, processing, and funding.
  • Achieve production targets by actively engaging with customers and agents, and managing a book of business with efficiency.
  • Handle incoming leads from company-provided resources and produce self-sourced leads through strong partner relationships.
  • Promptly contact borrowers upon lead receipt and follow up with personalized support after the initial discovery call.
  • Manage multiple leads and loans within established SLAs while communicating effectively via phone, email, and text.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, agents, and partners through regular, personalized communication.
  • Stay informed on market trends, conduct in-market visits, and tailor the customer and agent experience accordingly.
  • Maintain active licensing, complete required education/training, and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Note: This role involves the collection, storage, and use of your voiceprints (records of speech).

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of mortgage origination experience as an active NMLS Loan Originator or under a bank license.
  • Must be physically located in and working from Florida (FL).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Mortgage Loan Originator license in any U.S. state.
  • Successfully completed the 20-hr SAFE Pre-licensing Education and passed the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test.
  • Proven track record handling purchase loans and working effectively with real estate agents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong understanding of client service and deep mortgage process knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to travel for training within the first month and at least 5% travel in-market as required.
