Sr. Cyber Engineer

Position Overview

Join Rincon Research Corporation to defend freedom around the world as a Sr. Cyber Engineer. At Rincon Research Corporation, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary R&D team of engineers, researchers, and scientists to develop cutting-edge solutions for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities. Compensation: Base pay range is $145,000.00/yr - $177,000.00/yr. This position is available in Chantilly, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; Centennial, CO; or at our Tucson, AZ Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct offensive and defensive research on embedded hardware and software.
• Perform system security analysis on systems and/or software to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop innovative solutions to oppose or defend against cyber-related system vulnerabilities.
• Develop operational capabilities for contested network environments.
• Reverse engineer binary applications, protocols, and formats.
• Derive system requirements, create detailed designs, and develop complex software systems.
• Lead, mentor, and educate junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in C, C++, Python, and assembly.
• Knowledge of operating systems APIs/ABIs in Windows or Linux kernels.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in low-level systems programming, analysis, and reverse engineering.
• Experience leading teams and managing technical design and delivery.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, and Wireshark.
• Experience with ARM assembly languages.
• Experience analyzing RF communication systems and protocols.
• Experience in network applications programming and network protocol design/internals.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of self-initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
