Body Shop Technician - Koons Ford of Baltimore

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and repair vehicles per estimate according to manufacturer standards.
• De-trim, disassemble, and repair vehicles with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Assist with identifying and sourcing parts and materials.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure on-time delivery of vehicles.
• Meet or exceed the Collision Center’s productivity requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know).

Required Qualifications

• Possess a positive attitude with a "fix it right the first time" mentality.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, standing, sitting, and lifting materials over 50lbs.
• Capacity to withstand fumes/chemicals and adapt to varying weather conditions.
• Able to wear protective equipment including a respirator.
• Must be at least eighteen years of age, possess a valid Driver’s License, and pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification and I-Car certifications are a plus.
• Previous automotive technician or equivalent military experience is preferred.
