Molecular Laboratory Technician

Position Overview

General Dynamics is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Molecular Laboratory Technician to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments and procedures using molecular biology techniques.
• Perform sample preparation, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and other molecular biology assays.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of laboratory procedures and results.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions to optimize experimental outcomes.
• Collaborate with scientists and researchers to design and execute experiments.
• Stay up-to-date with current scientific literature and contribute to developing new protocols.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring proper functioning.
• Analyze and interpret data, prepare reports, and present findings to the team.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings to share progress and provide input on research projects.
• Train and mentor new laboratory technicians and support their professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality of research projects and results.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in molecular biology research or a laboratory environment.
• Keen attention to detail and strong technical skills.
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment effectively.
