Position Overview
Are you passionate about aviation and eager to break into the industry? Atlantic Aviation is seeking a dedicated Line Service Technician at HNL in Honolulu, HI. In this role, you will provide aviation ground support services including fueling, baggage and cargo handling, aircraft towing, and marshalling, ensuring a positive and professional experience for every customer. Compensation: $20 - $21 / hour. Schedule requires availability for all shifts including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty. Applicants must be Hawaii residents at the time of application.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and receive fuel to and from company tanks, vendor trucks, and aircraft.
- Operate all company ground support equipment including lavatory and water service carts, ground power units, and deice trucks.
- Perform ground marshalling using standard aviation signals.
- Assist customers with aircraft scheduling and fueling while delivering excellent customer service.
- Assist with aircraft turning, loading, and unloading operations.
- Ensure all buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and organized.
- Conduct or assist with daily/weekly onsite safety inspections and audits of equipment and facility operations.
- Occasionally travel or be assigned to support another Atlantic location based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- A valid state driver’s license; in some locations, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements may be required.
- Physical ability to perform frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.
- Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and to obtain and maintain an airport security badge.
- Proficiency with computers, email, and the ability to complete computer-based training modules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for safety-sensitive tasks.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules including nights, holidays, weekends, and in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six (6) months of experience and/or training in aviation, customer service, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
