What if your attention to detail ensured every order ships right the first time? As an Industrial Material Handling Coordinator, you synchronize receiving, storage, picking, and shipping—safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Your Mission: Drive reliability. From the dock to the trailer, you’ll make sure materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
Key Responsibilities
- Put safety first, always.
- Receive inbound parts, document and place them into proper storage locations.
- Pull stock to meet customer orders, then load trucks and trailers for outbound shipment.
- Operate hand trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes to move materials within the facility and to/from trailers.
- Use Yard Dogs to position trailers and support yard flow.
- Clean and finish parts using hand/pedestal grinders and related metal finishing equipment; assist with kit/product assembly.
- Deliver error-free work products to internal partners and external customers.
- Follow established processes under direct supervision; uphold all safety and quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean; take on other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Basic problem-solving and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes confidently.
- Experience with hand tools: hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander.
- Accurate tape measure reading.
- Knowledge of standard practices and procedures; comfortable following instructions and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Use of box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers; High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions
- Hazards: Moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high heat, and chemical exposure.
- Atmospheric factors: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or limited ventilation.
- Oils: Air and/or skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
