Entry Level Accountant

Position Overview

We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Odessa, Texas. In this role, you will develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while contributing to essential accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with auditing tasks, including preparing and reviewing financial records.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate coding of accounts and entries within the accounting system.
• Utilize ERP solutions, such as Vista/Viewpoint, for managing accounting processes.
• Support the team with general accounting functions, including account analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to address accounting-related inquiries and provide solutions.
• Monitor financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in the preparation of financial documents and reports.
• Contribute to special projects and tasks as assigned by the controller.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, especially Vista/Viewpoint.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data.
• Effective problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Reliability and adaptability with a proactive approach to handling tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and procedures is a plus.
