Material Handler (2nd Shift) - ONeal Steel / Jacksonville, FL

Position Overview

O'Neal Steel has an opening for a (2nd Shift) Material Handler at our Jacksonville, FL facility. The Material Handler will load and unload material within a warehouse utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors, or other handling equipment in accordance with pre-established guidelines. Must be able to work 2nd Shift (1:00PM–9:00PM) Monday–Friday with overtime as needed. Upon offer of employment, candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, yard dogs, and more.
• Use a variety of hand tools including grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
• Accurately read a tape measure.
• Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to use a variety of hand tools effectively.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Consistent provision of high quality work to all internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Overhead Crane certification
• Fork Lift certification
• Driver's License
