Job Description

Position Overview

As the Senior Media Analytics and Planning Manager (Linear TV & OTT) at Chewy, you will define the strategy and guardrails for premium video measurement across linear TV and CTV. Working closely with Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and the internal buying team, you will transform complex performance data into actionable insights and drive portfolio-level decision making. You will leverage human‑in‑the‑loop AI to enhance vendor tools and internal workflows while ensuring strict standards for privacy, bias mitigation, and reproducibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the role of Linear and OTT, reach/frequency guardrails, and duplication thresholds.
  • Own cross‑channel measurement (acquisition, brand lift, incremental reach) and translate insights into actions.
  • Design plans for the internal Linear TV buying team, optimized to channel goals.
  • Build and maintain automated executive reporting in Tableau to support decision making.
  • Deliver performance reads with actionable insights across Linear TV and OTT.
  • Set evidence thresholds for go/no‑go calls on buying decisions.
  • Apply human‑in‑the‑loop AI to augment vendor tools and internal workflows (e.g., anomaly detection, log reconciliation, executive summaries) with documented prompts and QA.
  • Collaborate with Media Planning on test designs, execution, and quarterly portfolio allocation.
  • Oversee data integration and QA across Core, iSpot, VideoAmp, TradeDesk, Amazon DSP, and internal databases; champion third‑party solutions to add decision value.
  • Conduct competitive and market research while presenting insights on opportunities, risks, and trade‑offs.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in media strategy, marketing analytics, or integrated paid media planning.
  • Proven leadership in portfolio‑level Linear and OTT, with strong measurement ownership (MMM, incrementality, brand lift).
  • Expertise in television planning and measurement tools (e.g., Core, iSpot, VideoAmp, Nielsen, OTT DSPs, Comscore).
  • Ability to translate complex performance data into business‑aligned marketing strategies.
  • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels and driving cross‑functional alignment.
  • Exceptional communication skills paired with a strong bias for action and keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e‑commerce or direct‑to‑consumer environments.
  • Strong BI/analytics skills (Tableau, advanced Sheets/Excel; SQL is a plus).
  • Experience influencing upfront planning in a buyer‑led model, including identity/clean‑room or cross‑screen frequency solutions.

Benefits & Perks

  • Base Salary Range: $129,500—$207,000 USD
  • 401k and Equity Grant: Eligibility for a 401k plan along with a new hire and annual equity grant.
  • Insurance: Comprehensive coverage including medical/Rx, vision, dental, life, disability, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident.
  • Additional benefits such as parental leave, family services, backup dependent care, flexible spending accounts, telemedicine, pet adoption reimbursement, an employee assistance program, and attractive discounts (10% off pet insurance and 20% off at Chewy.com).
  • PTO: Unlimited PTO (subject to manager approval), six paid holidays per year, and eligibility for paid sick and family leave in accordance with state and local regulations.
