Description

The NCDIT-Transportation Web Systems group is seeking a Cloud DevOps Expert with proven skills for a 12-month engagement to support several Department of Highways cloud initiatives. This position will involve the development and design of new and existing PaaS applications and their related infrastructure. You will collaborate with existing staff to plan and design cloud solutions for several applications developed by our internal development team, focusing on PaaS applications, Web Application Firewall, CI/CD, Storage Management, and Azure DevOps.

Skills

  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services and Terraform
  • Strong understanding of Azure Networking and Web Application Firewall
  • Familiarity with API Management Services and Microsoft Entra/Active Directory
  • Experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to recommend and implement integration processes

Responsibilities

  • Research application design for the transformation and modernization of enterprise applications using Azure cloud and Terraform
  • Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure for the organization
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Azure platform
  • Research and recommend Azure PaaS Application and Networking Services to support growth into the cloud
  • Document Disaster Recovery technical procedures for Azure Applications
  • Create architectural diagrams and documentation for existing cloud-hosted applications
  • Research, document, and implement an integration process between Azure DevOps and ServiceNow
  • Research products and new technologies to increase the efficiency of business and operations

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in cloud technologies and DevOps practices
  • Strong background in application design and cloud infrastructure management
  • Excellent documentation and integration skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with development teams

Education Requirements

Label: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
