Senior Cloud Security Architect (Remote)

Position Overview

Our client, a leader in secure cloud solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Architect to join their fully remote engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage security strategies for complex cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure the protection of sensitive data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security strategies for complex cloud environments.
• Architect secure cloud infrastructure and design Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies, including the implementation of security monitoring and alerting systems.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments while ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed DevSecOps best practices throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Significant experience in cloud security architecture and implementation.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container security, serverless security, and infrastructure as code (IaC) security.
• Proven ability to lead security initiatives in dynamic, remote settings.
• Deep understanding of current and emerging security threats with the capability to design resilient defenses.
