Position Overview
Tanaq Technical Services (TTS), a division of St. George Tanaq (SGT) Corporation and an 8(a) Alaskan Native Small Business, specializes in delivering Enterprise Integrated Technology Solutions and Support Services to the Federal Government. We are seeking a Full Stack Cloud Developer to support the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of the Chief Information Officer (HUD OCIO) on a fully remote, full‑time basis. In this role you will design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable cloud applications while working within Agile, DevSecOps practices to enhance customer experience and mission outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack, cloud‑hosted applications (frontend, backend, APIs, integrations).
- Develop prototypes, proofs of concept (PoCs), and pilots; mature successful solutions to production scale.
- Apply Agile practices (Kanban and Scrum) and participate in ceremonies (stand‑ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives).
- Contribute to weekly status reporting, risk/issue identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation including designs, test plans, architecture diagrams, and deployment/runbooks.
- Ensure secure coding practices, automated testing, CI/CD, and alignment with accessibility and customer experience standards.
- Collaborate closely with UX, data, DevOps, security, and program management teams; support briefings, demos, and technical reviews.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full‑stack development experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands‑on experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD, and DevSecOps integration.
- Expertise in front‑end development with frameworks such as React.js and React + TypeScript.
- Proficiency in back‑end development using Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), Java (Spring Boot), or .NET and managing databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with cloud‑native services, including serverless functions, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and managed cloud databases.
- Strong skills in API/service management (RESTful or GraphQL) and integration of third‑party services.
- Familiarity with security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection; ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards.
- Experience with AI/ML APIs and technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, and related architectures.
- Ability to pass federal background screening and obtain/maintain the required government clearance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in regulated/federal government environments, with preference for candidates who have supported HUD OCIO.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or CKAD.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
