Creative Visual Designer

Position Overview

At Epipelagic Ventures, we empower ambitious startups through our three‐month accelerator program by providing essential capital, collaborative support, and long‐term commitment. We are seeking a talented and passionate Creative Visual Designer who will drive the design process—from research and ideation to creative conceptualization and execution. You will work closely with our marketing team and key stakeholders to develop cohesive design strategies and prototypes, with the expectation to meet in person at our Cambridge, MA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform business and product requirements into visually captivating concepts and user-friendly experiences.
• Contribute to various creative projects while ensuring high quality under tight deadlines.
• Implement brand standards consistently across all design materials.
• Develop engaging digital and print media content that resonates with diverse audiences.
• Ensure compliance with copyright regulations for all media content.
• Perform additional related tasks as needed to support the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in visual or multimedia design, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in graphic and UI/UX design.
• Proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and other multimedia tools.
• Experience creating engaging content for digital platforms including websites, social media, and mobile apps.
• Strong grasp of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
• Able to receive and incorporate creative feedback to meet project objectives.
• Experience with motion graphics and video editing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and web design.
• Experience in animation and video production is a plus.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
• A self-starter with a quick learning ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient problem-solving skills with familiarity in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suites, and iOS.
