Job Description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for its area of responsibility through effective communication, staffing, scheduling and performance management. The role oversees daily operations, maintains quality and safety standards, and ensures compliance with company policies while developing and supporting associates and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly with individuals or groups (customers, suppliers, associates) both verbally and in writing.
  • Implement the business plan by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
  • Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards through effective training on logistics and company policies and by ensuring procedural compliance.
  • Identify and address associate, customer, or supplier concerns by consulting and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing timely feedback and coaching.
  • Manage the maintenance department’s daily operations, ensuring proper upkeep of equipment and adherence to state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, DOT).
  • Oversee financial aspects by monitoring expenses, capital expenditures, and asset utilization relative to budgeted targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification in an Industrial-related field and 1 year of maintenance department supervisory experience, OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial, or a related field, OR
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience in a maintenance environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors, OR
  • 2 years of Walmart Logistics maintenance experience including six months leading a work or project team, OR
  • 2 years supervisory experience in an industrial environment with at least 1 year in the maintenance field.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Compliance and General Maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Refrigeration Equipment used in supermarkets and supervising associates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
