About the Role
A nonprofit that brings trained hospital magicians to children in hospitals is hiring a Brand and Growth Marketing Content Manager to build and run the content and marketing engine behind its national expansion. The organization reached over 8,400 kids last year, with hospitals requesting more programming and new cities within reach. The organization is also in the middle of a rebrand and is ready to hire someone who can take the new identity and scale it across every channel.
This is a hands-on, senior content role that combines strategy with daily execution. The Content Manager will attend programs and events to capture real moments, shoot and edit video and photo content, build campaigns, manage social media, track performance, and report to leadership and the Board. The role works closely with the founder and Senior Director of Marketing within an established in-house production approach. The work directly supports volunteer recruitment, donor engagement, brand awareness, and expanded reach to new patients and new cities.
This is not an entry-level position. The organization is looking for someone who has built and run content and marketing systems that produce measurable results, and who can show it through a portfolio.
What the Role Covers
- Working with leadership to define and refine brand voice, and developing a content strategy aligned with growth goals
- Owning the editorial calendar and ensuring consistency of tone, message, and identity across all materials
- Planning and executing campaigns tied to key moments, events, volunteer recruitment, and awareness
- Owning and growing the organization's presence across key social media platforms
- Managing day-to-day posting, engagement, and community interaction
- Attending programs, trainings, and events to capture real moments and stories
- Shooting and editing video and photo content using Sony cameras, professional audio equipment, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and AI tools
- Building a repeatable system for capturing and producing high-quality content
- Tracking performance across content and campaigns and preparing reporting for leadership and the Board
- Adjusting strategy based on results and insights
- Supporting digital advertising efforts including Google Ad vendor management and limited targeted advertising to recruit volunteers
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, content, or social media
- Portfolio demonstrating content creation, strategy, and results (required)
- Experience shooting and editing video content (required)
- Strong writing and storytelling ability across formats
- Ability to turn real-world moments into compelling content
- Experience with analytics and performance tracking
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on
- Energy, drive, and a proactive approach to testing new ideas
- Interest in mission-driven work and growth-stage organizations
- Ability to meet hospital medical requirements, including annual flu vaccination and health screenings
- Successful completion of a background check
