Position Overview

The Customer Service Sales Specialist will focus on selling our company’s services and maintenance agreements related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This role requires a fearless “hunter” with a strong background in sales, particularly within the MHE industry.
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston
Salary: Dependent upon experience, qualifications, and geographic location
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and manage the entire sales process – targeting top prospects, identifying client solutions, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Act as a "solutions expert" consultant in addressing unique business issues and strategic initiatives with partners.
- Collaborate with senior management to create effective plans for growing the customer base and share new business development strategies with the sales team.
- Utilize Sales Force to provide visibility and effectively communicate activity within the assigned territory.
- Strategize on social selling opportunities and participate in company training programs, including ride-alongs to learn job skills.
- Prepare appropriate specifications and service level expectations in accordance with existing laws, regulations, and company policy.
- Calculate correct job costs and market-based pricing for solutions, focusing on services such as Preventative Maintenance, Field & Shop Service, Rental Equipment, Forklift Safety Training, and Material Handling Equipment Sales.
- Generate order activity to support sales forecasts through prospecting, lead follow-up, and market development.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of cold calling sales experience required.
- 3+ years of customer service experience required.
- 2+ years of Industrial Equipment or Construction Sales experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; pass a criminal history background check; and own reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Sales experience with various types of Material Handling Equipment including Forklifts (Electrical, Diesel, Internal Combustion), Lift Trucks, Aerial Lifts, and Scissor Lifts.
- Experience working with maintenance/service agreements is an asset.
