Position Overview

Junior or Senior Interior Designer at Chandos Collective in Houston, TX. Qualified candidates must have at least 2–5 years of work experience at a comparable design firm and be extremely familiar with all aspects of the high-end residential design process. This position will report to our Houston office, as well as project sites and offsite meetings as needed. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with both the Principal of the firm and a direct lead designer from project concept to completion.
  • Work with leading industry partners to develop detailed interior design plans from conception through completion.
  • Solicit requests for quotes from various vendors, vet for accuracy, and enter into our software system for client proposals.
  • Coordinate various project details with actual site conditions, site changes, and input from the industry team.
  • Select product, furniture, fabrics, and other decorative elements.
  • Source product from various vendors, subcontractors, and artisans.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain specifications and samples.
  • Assist and participate in client meetings and presentations, including creation of presentations in AutoCAD and PowerPoint to clearly communicate concepts and design intent.
  • Attend in-office and offsite meetings to ensure timely responses to project needs and manage all aspects of the various design projects.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of work experience at a comparable design firm.
  • Extensive familiarity with all aspects of the high-end residential design process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of experience with high-end residential interior design.
  • Degree from an accredited design or architecture program.
  • Experience sourcing and specifying products related to interior design.
  • Exceptional understanding of high-end design details and quality.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Studio Designer.
