Position Overview

Assistant Apparel Designer role at 24 Seven Talent in Portland, OR. This is a part time position working 3 days onsite on a 3-month contract with potential to extend, and there is a possibility for fulltime hours if it's a great fit. Starting ASAP, you will support multiple apparel categories including Men’s (Sleep, Activewear, Sportswear), Women’s (RTW, Sleep), and Children’s (Baby, Toddler, Kids). The role focuses on the end-to-end review of design samples—from lab dips to pre-production and TOP samples—to ensure accuracy, quality, and brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review design samples across multiple categories and product lines.
• Review and approve design submissions including color lab dips, artwork strike-offs, fabric quality, design details, trims, and pre-production samples.
• Partner with design and production teams to provide clear and actionable feedback.
• Ensure all design elements comply with quality, brand, and production standards.
• Track sample progress and communicate timelines or issues to cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in apparel design, product development, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on design background with the ability to review and approve design samples.
• Strong expertise in color, artwork, fabric, and trims.
• Ability to work across multiple categories and manage competing priorities.
