Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, and immunology—adhering to established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on instruments.
- Support specimen collection processes and prepare samples for analysis as required.
- Document all procedures accurately, assist in training new staff members or students, and uphold quality assurance standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science (or a related allied health field) with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- Achieve ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of hire and maintain active certification.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to quality control and documentation.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and solve problems in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
