Position Overview
Actalent is hiring for a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Plymouth, MN. We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in a non-exempt, contract role. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in the field, strong follow-up and change management facilitation skills, and excellent communication abilities. A 2 or 4-year degree in a relevant field is required. This position is fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Create an environment and assist leadership and customers in the timely and successful implementation of the business excellence program at the site.
- Act as a change agent to grow culture, leading and motivating others to achieve multiple objectives with urgency while continuously engaging staff and promoting team collaboration.
- Identify and facilitate process improvement projects and training workshops to drive cultural change.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot distribution and warehouse issues, manage material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design, and create process documentation.
- Actively manage and support the sustenance of Operational Excellence foundations such as 5S, Visual Factory, and GMP standards.
- Ensure audit compliance for EHS Safety standards, maintaining zero major audit observations, near misses, and Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) metrics.
- Assist and support management to ensure all employees participate in activities and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Strong follow-up and execution skills.
- Strong change management facilitation skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, process improvement, and lean manufacturing.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in customer interaction, change management team leadership, and root cause analysis.
- 2 or 4-year degree in a relevant field.
