Your Impact – As a passionate software engineer, you will build and maintain key software tools and platforms that enable Cisco’s business groups to leverage AI and data-driven insights for operational excellence and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain key software tools and platforms that enable Cisco’s business groups to leverage AI and data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced data pipelines, machine learning infrastructure, and analytics platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or relevant degree program (e.g., Associate’s, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification with 1 year of relevant experience; or High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s with no required experience).
  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of fundamental data structures.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with distributed data processing technologies, including Apache Spark, Hadoop (MapReduce), or Apache Flink.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes, for deploying data and machine learning workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts including scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and data consistency, as well as familiarity with load balancing, consensus algorithms, and inter-service communication.

  • Compensation: Salary ranges vary by location. For example, in the New York City Metro Area the range is $104,700.00 - $153,000.00, and for Non-Metro New York state & Washington state the range is $92,100.00 - $136,000.00. Additional performance-based bonuses and sales incentive compensation may also apply.
