Job Summary:
The POD Marketing Specialist (also known as Strategic Marketing Specialist) supports the POD team by developing and executing marketing strategies for a subset of grouped properties.Key Responsibilities
- Act as a project owner for assigned marketing jobs.
- Manage project lifecycle from ideation to deployment in a timely manner.
- Initiate and expedite workflow process through the Salesforce marketing process tool.
- Ensure expenses for events are within budget and aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Set up guests' criteria and offer values with manager/director guidance and adjust templates as needed.
- Coordinate with the on-site marketing team to track execution of marketing activities and resolve issues.
- Track inputs and feedback from other marketing functions regarding calendar plans.
- Manage post-event follow ups and reconcile expenses.
- Improve templates and processes to create tools that support business needs.
- Develop event and offer details for assigned marketing jobs in conjunction with property partners and POD leadership.
- Source and submit purchase orders for gifts, gift cards, or cars needed for event execution.
- Handle contracts with third-party vendors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external vendors essential for job completion.
- Draft value propositions and compelling copy for communication messaging.
- Review and provide creative feedback on marketing materials.
- Approve marketing material based on job details and creative guidance.
- Review and proof direct mail and email jobs to ensure accuracy prior to deployment.
- Collaborate with peers within and across POD teams for best practice sharing.
- Interact with various groups including Enterprise Wide Property Events Team, Direct Mail Teams, Audit, Analytics, Property Senior Marketing Leaders, External Vendor Groups, MIXP Internal Service Groups, Studio, and Brand.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to organize and maintain a wide variety of activities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of business acumen necessary to troubleshoot and solve problems with moderate guidance from a supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to Jake and prioritize activities.
- Must successfully be able to present a vision and create advocates.
- Ability to be vocal with ideas and present challenges to property partners, senior team members, and peers.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations in a regulated business environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
- One-year previous marketing experience within the casino industry.
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft suite, Adobe products, and Workfront.
