Position Overview

Are you a Registered Nurse looking for great-paying and completely flexible per diem hospital work in the Chicago, IL area? We are seeking Telemetry Registered Nurses to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care in Telemetry Units across multiple hospital facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Telemetry Unit.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established protocols.
  • Monitor patients’ health status, respond quickly to changes, and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, manage ventilators, and deliver other critical interventions as required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and optimum outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients’ families by providing updates, education on treatment plans, and emotional support.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  • Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow established policies and procedures while upholding patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Note: Responsibilities may vary at the discretion of each facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (or a compact state license).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and reliable care in a high-stress environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts—including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between healthcare facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year Telemetry experience within the last year.
