Position Overview
Are you a Registered Nurse looking for great-paying and completely flexible per diem hospital work in the Chicago, IL area? We are seeking Telemetry Registered Nurses to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care in Telemetry Units across multiple hospital facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Telemetry Unit.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established protocols.
- Monitor patients’ health status, respond quickly to changes, and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans.
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and deliver other critical interventions as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and optimum outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families by providing updates, education on treatment plans, and emotional support.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow established policies and procedures while upholding patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (or a compact state license).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols.
- Ability to provide compassionate and reliable care in a high-stress environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts—including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between healthcare facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year Telemetry experience within the last year.
