As an Asset Management Analyst II, you will be an integral member of a highly collaborative team responsible for delivering innovative, data-driven asset management solutions for transportation partners including state departments of transportation, airports, and transit agencies. You will create asset management plans, develop deterioration models, establish data and inspection standards, and define business requirements that support strategic decision-making across diverse transportation asset portfolios. In today’s rapidly evolving environment where big data, analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence drive decision-making, your analytical work will uncover patterns and trends that enhance asset performance and reliability.

Compensation: Greater Seattle, WA Metro Area: $85,580.52 - $128,370.78; Illinois: $81,859.63 - $122,789.44; Nation wide: $74,417.85 - $139,533.46.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and client stakeholders to define asset-related data, tools, and technology strategies that meet the needs of DOTs, airports, and transit agencies.
- Contribute to developing federally compliant asset management plans, asset hierarchies, condition assessment standards, service life analyses, and technical reports that optimize transportation investments.
- Support research, data analysis, modeling, and risk-based assessments to help transportation agencies allocate resources effectively and improve system performance.
- Apply technical expertise such as GIS, statistical analysis, infrastructure design, or inspection experience to enhance project deliverables.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and technical specifications.
- Build and optimize data models and schemas for analytics and machine learning.
- Implement data quality, governance, and security best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation.
- Integrate cloud, automation, and real-time data technologies into solutions.
- Present findings and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field with 2 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 1 year of related experience; or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
- Qualifications: Proficiency with spatial analysis tools, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, for asset inventory, condition analysis, and visualization.
- Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or R for handling both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Qualifications: Familiarity with asset management frameworks and standards, including ISO 55000, AASHTO TAM Guide, FAA asset management guidance, or FTA transit asset management requirements.
- Experience Required: Demonstrated experience supporting transportation agencies in improving asset performance, lifecycle planning, and infrastructure investment decision‑making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of how change management practices support enterprise-level technology adoption, data governance improvements, or cross-departmental process alignment.
- Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems such as Trimble Cityworks, Unity Maintain (AgileAssets), IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, Cartegraph, or Trapeze—including configuration, data integration, reporting, or analytics.
- Experience in developing or supporting predictive maintenance, reliability analysis, or risk-based prioritization to enhance capital planning and operational decision‑making.
- Professional certifications such as IAM Certificate or Diploma in Asset Management, ArcGIS technical certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), or certifications related to Maximo, Cityworks, or other enterprise asset management platforms.
