Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a temporary contractor Accountant to support our internal accounting team. Work will include but is not limited to completing account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting audit requests and other accounting tasks. An accounting degree and relevant experience are required. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently and has a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and help oversee financial closing activities, such as preparing and reviewing journal entries
- Analyze financial results and communicate them with stakeholders
- Support audit requirements including internal, external, and compliance audits
- Work with peers to identify and implement process improvements
- Prepare and present working papers and accurate supporting documentation to leaders
- Participate in special projects, developmental opportunities, and other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- One to three years of experience with progressing levels of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA licensed or CPA eligibility is preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: Hourly contract rate range of $29.00 to $35.00 based on experience, qualifications, geographical market, and business considerations.
