Position Overview

This role is responsible for defining and leading global product marketing within the beauty category. The successful candidate will drive category and product strategy, manage end‑to‑end product launches, spearhead strategic initiatives, and provide leadership to cross‑functional teams. In this dynamic position, you will partner with multiple business units to ensure that products are innovative, profitable, and meet market demands.

Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities

  • Develop category and product strategy that drives business forward and reinforces brand equity.
  • Partner with Product Development, Global Consumer Marketing, Global Beauty, and Consumer Insights to inform innovation strategy and product launch cadence.
  • Monitor franchise performance in the global marketplace and recommend ongoing optimizations.
  • Support VP in creating the long‑term new innovation plan and strategy to ensure plans are sold in, sufficiently resourced, within cost of goods targets, and meet LRP.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end product strategy for all new launches—including insights, pricing, positioning, formula direction, packaging design, and artwork—by partnering with cross‑functional teams for a comprehensive 360° launch.
  • Lead development of new product launch concepts and program briefs while driving relevant meetings to push launches forward.
  • Provide industry, competitive, and internal analysis expertise to drive projects forward.
  • Drive the copy alignment process, including messaging hierarchy and copy briefs.
  • Own the forecast process, including sizing of opportunity and partnering with Global Business Planning.
  • Ensure the feasibility and profitability of projects.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to align on product calendar elements and forecasts.
  • Participate in new product testing across categories and provide meaningful usage feedback.
  • Lead and motivate cross‑functional teams to drive timelines and complete projects.
  • Prepare materials for presenting marketing plans to affiliates and retailers when applicable.
  • Assess project performance based on market feedback and business results.
  • Identify opportunities to refresh products and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Own the annual SKU rationalization/line edit process by recommending improvements to the portfolio including discontinuations, gap analysis, and opportunities.
  • Lead the bi‑annual corporate innovation summary (BIT) for assigned categories.
  • Direct and support overall business initiatives and strategic planning, including pricing analysis and sampling strategy.
  • Support annual Global Product Innovation Strategy and Brand Strategy presentations.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and ongoing coaching to an Assistant Manager and Associate to cultivate an effective product marketing team.
  • Drive change by implementing new product launch processes.
  • Collaborate effectively within a matrixed organization to strategically influence and work with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications

  • 8+ Years' experience in beauty marketing.

  • Capable of synthesizing data to drive business decisions by connecting category insights and analytics to create on‑point, on‑trend product innovation.
