Position Overview
The BioMarin Summer Internship Program offers students an opportunity to gain firsthand experience in pharmaceutical marketing as a part of the US Skeletal Conditions Business Unit Marketing team. Interns will work on meaningful projects—from evaluating new business opportunities to assessing customer educational needs—while learning about the processes and systems within a global biotechnology organization that transforms genetic discoveries into new medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct landscape assessment
- Assess customer educational needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Sales and Medical Affairs
- Evaluate salesforce effectiveness
- Drive prelaunch activities
- Present findings to the cross-functional team and commercial leadership
Required Qualifications
- Foundational marketing knowledge and relevant coursework
- Strong strategic and creative thinking skills
- Project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA or relevant graduate program
- Available to work full time (40 hours per week)
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. institution or have graduated within 1 year of the internship start
- Ability to relocate if necessary for on-site or hybrid roles

- Demonstrated interest in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
