Position Overview

Customer Service Collections Professional (Early Stage)

You will assist in delivering trailblazing products and services to our 32 million customers, ensuring exceptional customer experience and efficient debt resolution. This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Location: 12238 Silicon Drive, Suite 129, San Antonio, Texas 78249 (near the intersection of IH-10 & De Zavala Road)

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers and assist with their debt resolution.
  • Work under minimal supervision and in an environment focused on growth.
  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Research accounts with debt and communicate with customers via phone.
  • Take appropriate action based on transaction characteristics.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of current federal, state, and local regulations along with internal policies.
  • Contact customers by phone in an attempt to collect outstanding debt.
  • Demonstrate friendliness and professionalism when handling customer interactions.
  • Answer inquiries from customers regarding unpaid debts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of Collections/Accounting experience.
  • 0-2 years of Customer Service experience.
  • 0-2 years of related work experience and/or training in a similar field.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certification.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping, mathematics, and general office procedures.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment to billing disputes.
  • Skill in solving practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Proficient negotiation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency using computers, keyboards, and telephone systems.
  • Proven history of accountability and dependability.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of instructions (written, oral, diagrams, or schedules).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
