Software Developer

Position Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Software Developer for a contract with a client in Pontiac, MI (Hybrid). In this role you will build secure, scalable applications; integrate document management systems; and support automation workflows along with production troubleshooting.

Compensation: $65/hour to $68/hour – the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable applications using .NET, VB6, and Microsoft-based technologies.
• Implement and automate scanning workflows using Kofax Capture/Transformation and integrate with Laserfiche DMS.
• Develop and support integrations between document management systems and other enterprise platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues, collaborate with end-users and internal teams, and provide ongoing support.
• Utilize tools like Visual Studio, SSMS, and Azure DevOps for development, deployment, and version control.
• Create technical documentation, including program specifications, data models, and architecture diagrams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience with Kofax scanning solutions, Laserfiche DMS, .NET, and VB6 in a Microsoft-based environment.
• Proficiency in using Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and Azure DevOps, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
