Job Mission: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Materials Analyst to join our R&D team and help bring innovative, high-quality products to life. You will support the material development and planning process from concept through commercialization by partnering cross-functionally with teams including Global Tech Services, Product Management, Supply Planning, Color Quality, and Sourcing. Your attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to manage complex schedules in a collaborative environment are critical to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough material reviews, request necessary testing, track progress, and perform data analysis to deliver creative material solutions.
  • Lead seasonal development proto & sample room yardage planning activities in support of all business models.
  • Support sublimation and color testing activities ensuring alignment with critical deadlines, specifications, sustainability standards, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Design, Project Management, and R&D leads to identify early seasonal testing opportunities.
  • Manage ad-hoc development material projects in support of timeline goals.
  • Oversee cross-functional communication with Development Leads, Quality Control, and Sourcing teams to ensure seamless buy readiness transition from R&D.
  • Troubleshoot material testing issues related to quality and manufacturability and propose creative solutions.
  • Ensure timely implementation of all materials through the commercialization process and stay current on industry trends and innovations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Apparel Manufacturing or a related field, plus 1-3 years of experience in material development, testing, or product development.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a passion for driving results through cross-functional interactions.
  • Proficient computer skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, Excel; experience with PLM is preferred.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to adapt to shifting demands.
