Position Overview
Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is the area’s only level I trauma center and a leader in comprehensive cancer care. Known for its advanced services—from its ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn center to one of the nation’s top solid organ transplant centers—TGH delivers world-class, compassionate healthcare. The Pharmacy Department, comprising approximately 300 professionals and offering accredited residency programs, provides clinical and distributive services across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty settings.
In this role as an Oncology Clinical Specialist, you will join the multidisciplinary oncology team to support and advance TGH’s growing Cancer Institute. You will focus on delivering patient-centered care with an emphasis on medication management, patient safety, and quality outcomes, while actively participating in pharmacy services within heme-oncology clinics, infusion centers, and inpatient oncology units.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to further develop and enhance the Cancer Institute.
- Provide patient-centered care focused on medication management, patient safety, and quality outcomes.
- Participate in pharmacy services across heme-oncology clinics, infusion centers, and inpatient oncology services.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a Pharm D degree or a B.S. degree with Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY-1) or equivalent training/experience in an oncology setting.
- Must hold current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology specialty residency (PGY-2) is preferred.
