In this role, you will provide nursing care across patient care departments in alignment with your experience and competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, identification of outcomes based on the needs assessment, establishing the plan of care, supervising progress, and modifying the plan of care as needed.
  • Maintains education and competencies to remain proficient in providing high quality patient care.
  • Incorporates evidence-based nursing practice while considering current statutes, rules and regulations when developing the plan of care.
  • Establishes, in collaboration with the patient and family, realistic and measurable expected outcomes based on nursing diagnoses, current capabilities, goals, available resources, and plans for continuity of care.
  • Identifies outcomes that are age appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic and attainable.
  • Coordinates, collaborates, and delegates appropriately to ensure care is provided safely and effectively.
  • Fulfills all organizational requirements.
  • Assumes supplemental roles when needed, including serving as Charge Nurse to coordinate and direct unit operations and as Preceptor to address orientee learning needs and validate clinical competence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional RN experience
  • Medical/Surgical experience
