Job Description

Position Overview

The Shared Services Division of the Department of Budget and Management, Office of Personnel Services and Benefits is seeking an entry level Integrations Analyst with strong general knowledge in systems integrations. In this role, you will monitor the existing Statewide Personnel System (SPS) integrations and develop new custom integrations as needed. The position is part of the Integrations Team supporting systems such as JobAps, the Hub (learning management system), and Workday (HR, Payroll, and Benefit related integrations). Compensation: Starts at HRIS Analyst I DBM, Grade 17 and progresses to full performance at Grade 20, with additional growth opportunities.

Location of Position: Department of Budget and Management, Shared Services Division, 301 W. Preston Street, 5th Fl, Baltimore, MD 21201.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Shared Services integrations for JobAps, the Hub, and Workday systems.
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of system integrations.
  • Coordinate with Division support staff to ensure seamless integration functionality.
  • Provide user and vendor support to resolve integration-related issues.
  • Be available for some evening and weekend work as part of the team requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in data integration and consolidation, custom inbound/outbound integrations, automation scripts, and developing SQL-based reports (SSI and SSAS) or equivalent experience with HR, benefits, or timekeeping/payroll integrations; or experience with XML development and knowledge of XSLT and HTML.
  • Substitution of additional specific experience on a year-for-year basis (up to four years) for the required education is allowed.
  • Experience in problem analysis, user support, system development coordination, and training may also substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Relevant U.S. Armed Forces military service in Cyber and Information Systems may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop SQL procedures/reports on SQL-based platforms (SSIS and SSAS) with experience in Visual Basic.net/JavaScript.
  • Previous experience with HR, Benefits, or Timekeeping/Payroll integrations and SQL database management is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, and the ability to debug and quickly learn new systems.
