Position Overview

As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive compassionate and comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in the Nursing Services department.
  • Ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and feeding.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients and their families.
  • Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Respond to patient requests and needs in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and disease.
  • Assist in the coordination of patient appointments and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing supervisor or healthcare team.
