Job Description
Make IHG Hotels & Resorts a beloved household name through support of the Brand PR and Partnerships team for IHG’s Premium and Luxury & Lifestyle portfolios in the Americas.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support Brand PR and Partnerships team for IHG’s Premium and Luxury & Lifestyle portfolios in the Americas, including but not limited to: Crowne Plaza, EVEN, Hotel Indigo, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection and voco
- Assist Brand PR team with development of 360 communications plans for campaigns, new hotel openings and partnerships, extending into social, internal and owned channels
- Support Premium and L&L Brand PR in the management of agencies to deliver earned media strategies and plans
- Manage department resources, including but not limited to influencer agreements and photos, press clippings, coverage reports, media lists and internal distribution lists as needed
- Develop and maintain communications collateral templates, including PowerPoint templates, email templates, memo templates, etc. for use by relevant Brand PR employees
- Maintain Premium and L&L Brand PR influencer database; facilitate image uploading for contracted influencer partnerships
- Assist with regular department analytics and reports for Premium & L&L PR brands to measure PR ROI
- Support Premium & L&L Brand PR internal team priorities and meetings by preparing meeting agendas, recaps, monthly reports and creative ideation
- Prepare media materials, including briefing books, pitches, press releases, etc.
- Develop and maintain division fact sheets, executive bios, and division presentations (general overview) for use by division employees
- Co-own the Premium & L&L Brand PR team editorial calendars to execute strategic and timely media pitches
- Research, pitch and place favorable stories for Premium & L&L brands, working in partnership with other IHG comms teams, i.e. GCA, Masterbrand, News Bureau
- Co-manage Premium & L&L Brand PR team’s editorial awards strategy and maximize visibility for potential exposure
- Assist with organization of internal monthly news digest to merchandise Premium & L&L Brand PR team wins
- Establish and maintain media relationships with key media outlets and influencers
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree: in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
Key Skills & Experiences
- 2-5 years of progressive work-related experience at an agency and/or in-house public relations function focused on consumer lifestyle brands and media with demonstrated technical proficiency related to the position.
- Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer-focus orientation
- Working knowledge of the media landscape
- Fluent knowledge of working within a Windows environment, intranet/online experience a plus
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling sophisticated and sometimes confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with all levels of management and employees
- Must possess excellent time and project management and organizational skills
