Position Overview

This Production Operator role is critical in our Aseptic department at our Manufacturing Plant in Indianapolis, Indiana, where you will efficiently operate machinery and maintain precise documentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Promotes safety and adheres to all safety guidelines at all times.
  • Observes machine operation to detect product defects or malfunctions and adjusts equipment within tolerances as necessary.
  • Positions, loads, and secures stock material required for production manually or using power-assisted equipment.
  • Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments; notifies supervisor/maintenance when major service is required.
  • Starts up and shuts down manufacturing equipment in accordance with SOPs.
  • Maintains and completes documentation of permanent records with a high degree of neatness and accuracy.
  • Utilizes food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving techniques and initiative.
  • Complies with all food manufacturing and safety regulations.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Undergoes cross-training to perform work in other areas as needed.
  • Performs all other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be physically capable of performing tasks including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 40 pounds), and repetitive motions.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including daily overtime and occasional weekends.
