Job Description

Position Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an HR Analyst to support human resources processes, program management, data analytics, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This role provides support within a team of analysts for government priorities including personnel hiring, onboarding, tracking, status reports, data calls, analytics, and various other programmatic needs. This is a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to collect and compile information to ensure timely responses to requests and ad hoc assignments.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires in specific sectors of DHS ICE, serving as the main point of contact throughout the onboarding experience.
  • Act as the primary interface between new hires and the rest of DHS ICE.
  • Communicate with new hires before their start date to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Track and manage new hires through all steps of the onboarding process.
  • Gather and process paperwork, run background checks, and perform I-9 verifications.
  • Review and verify background check information to ensure compliance and escalate any issues identified.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and departments to ensure successful completion of new hire onboarding.
  • Work with HR teams, managers, and employees to support employee experience initiatives that improve processes and engagement.
  • Assist with conducting new hire surveys.
  • Gather, analyze, and report on employee onboarding and offboarding data.
  • Support data analytics and reporting requirements, including weekly, monthly, and ad hoc tasking-related data requests.
  • Provide support for HR data requirements within both internal and external data systems.
  • Create, draft, and update project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform gap analysis to understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and disseminate project deliverables while ensuring adherence to compliance and quality standards.
  • Establish and execute effective project communication plans.
  • Verify and analyze data to support project direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or commensurate experience).
  • 3 years of experience in dynamic customer delivery environments.
  • Clearance: Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required).
