Position Overview
Webster, a leading commercial bank founded in 1935 and dedicated to putting people first, is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager. In this role, you will lead full cycle recruiting for complex business lines across Corporate Functions including Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, and Risk Management. You will develop innovative sourcing strategies, guide hiring managers through the recruitment process, and serve as a champion for diversity while enhancing the candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the recruitment function for complex professional to executive roles, providing expert negotiation and strategic guidance.
- Manage full cycle recruitment processes including requisition management, candidate sourcing, interviews, salary negotiations, and offers, while coaching hiring managers.
- Develop and implement multifaceted recruiting strategies to meet current and future workforce needs.
- Build and maintain a diverse candidate pipeline in support of Webster’s diversity initiatives and Business Resource Groups.
- Advise hiring managers with market data and provide consultative recommendations on candidate qualifications, cultural fit, and compensation.
- Communicate effectively with business leaders, hiring managers, and stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
- Lead and support TA projects and strategic initiatives, including HR technology enhancements and community/university engagement events.
- Represent Webster Bank both digitally and in-person as an ambassador of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of direct HR experience, including at least 6 years in full cycle Talent Acquisition.
- Proven experience recruiting for professional and senior level roles, preferably within Financial Services/Banking.
- Expertise in developing strategic and tactical sourcing plans with strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with a results-driven attitude.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems; Workday experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment with occasional travel.
