Education/Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science/software engineering/relevant field or equivalent work experience required. 3-6years experience required.

Summary

Work in the team and involve in design, review, evaluate, and plan Software Quality assurance/testing environment, infrastructure, tools, processes, methodologies, and resources.

Skills and Competencies

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery
• Ability to troubleshoot as needed to resolve issue.
• Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively participate in requirement gathering sessions for assigned projects with business partners, project managers, business analysts, developers and architects and prepare test plans, test cases.
• Represent Software Quality Assurance in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
• Execute manual and automated test cases on new and enhanced software products with a goal to detect software defects and ensure that software requirements, specifications and standards have been met.
• Participate in defect review and test planning meetings and participate in continuous process improvement efforts.
• Create test summary reports and report software discrepancies. Primarily work in Quick Test Professional (QTP), Quality Center, SOAP UI, Load Runner, VBScript, Shell Scripts and SQL.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate development and determine project scope and limitations
• Perform other duties as assigned.
