Build Programmer

Position Overview

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning team behind Starfield, The Elder Scrolls, and Fallout, is seeking a Build Programmer. Key Responsibilities

• Work with the game technology leads to design and define development infrastructure.
• Manage end-to-end development infrastructure systems from game code changes to reporting systems.
• Oversee client and server build and deployment systems.
• Implement and maintain automated testing and reporting systems.
• Write clear, maintainable, and portable code.
• Test and refine code and systems throughout the development cycle.
• Accurately estimate schedules and deliver high-quality work products on time.

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in cross-platform build systems in Linux and Windows.
• Knowledge of multiple branched environments.
• Basic Linux System Administrator knowledge.
• Good knowledge of Python.
• Strong understanding of continuous integration pipelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional software development experience in C++.
• Professional software development experience in Kotlin.
• Expertise with performance profiling tools.
• Experience with SQL.
• Familiarity with web programming (JavaScript, PHP, etc.).
• Experience with Azure/AWS Cloud Compute for building, deploying, and maintaining virtual machines at Build Farm scales.
• Knowledge of bot-driven automated systems.
• Familiarity with game patching, server deployment, and asset dependency systems.
• Understanding of basic statistics.
• Prior game industry experience.
