Position Overview
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior and cyber mission specialist at Booz Allen, you will apply your RMF expertise to support the Air Force and Space Force in securing mission‐critical systems. You will evaluate vulnerabilities, harden system architectures, conduct risk assessments, and guide clients through actionable cybersecurity solutions that safeguard critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate potential system weaknesses and the effectiveness of cybersecurity mitigations.
- Harden systems using vulnerability assessments and secure architecture design.
- Develop and review System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and accreditation artifacts.
- Utilize cybersecurity tools (e.g., ACAS, HBSS, Splunk) to enhance security posture.
- Collaborate with clients by translating technical concepts into actionable security recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in system security engineering, including applying STIGs.
- 3+ years of experience developing and implementing security solutions for SCI environments.
- Proven experience conducting security assessments, documenting actions, and validating accreditation under RMF.
- Experience in developing System Security Plans (SSPs), POAMs, and accreditation artifacts.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, HBSS or Splunk.
- In-depth knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53 controls, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Ability to design and implement secure architectures for SCI environments.
- TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cyber range design, implementation, and realistic threat simulations.
- Experience preparing Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for security tasks.
- Knowledge of SATCOM or tactical network security.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- DoD 8140 IAM Level III Certification or similar (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CAP, CEH, GSEC).

- Compensation: Projected salary range is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD), complemented by select offerings based on employment status.
